The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) was founded in 1949 and is the largest voluntary health organization dedicated to fighting blood cancer in the world. Their mission is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s lymphoma and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
In 2018, LLS came to DevDigital with a mission to assist cancer patients with their nutrition, hydration, and side effects management through an easy-to-use mobile app that houses guidelines and tools to monitor and track their actions. After a year of perfecting calculations and ensuring user success, the mobile app went live across the country and now reaches thousands of users every day.
The LLS Health Manager app went on to win the Spring 2020 Digital Health Award and the 2020 National Health Information Award. Project Consultant, Daniel McMahan said, “We work with several organizations across multiple industries for exciting and new projects, but there are certain projects that make the world a better place. I am proud to say that I have been a part in a project that impacts thousands of people in their everyday life.”
The Leukemia & Lymphoma then came back to DevDigital the following year with a new plan in mind. One that got every single person in our organization excited: the LLS Coloring For Kids App. The free coloring app allows children to express their creativity while learning about blood cancer and its treatment. The app includes glitter, stickers, frames, custom colors, music and so much more.
The LLS Coloring for Kids App won the Spring 2021 Digital Health Award, and we could not be more proud of their success. LLS continues to be an innovator in using technology to transform patient care. Learn more about the Mobile App Development process here.
